In 1995, she established her own business, HRC Recruitment. She describes the journey of starting, building and running her business as like “being on a rollercoaster - highs, lows and overall a real rush”. A graduate of Glasgow University in Politics and History, Hilary started her career in the Insurance Industry with Aon and AIG. After 5 years, she moved into the banking sector as a BDM for a short period before making a move into the recruitment industry where she focused initially on the placement of Insurance and FS candidates. Her core business objectives are to deliver an outstanding service to clients and candidates and to provide an environment where employees can flourish and have rewarding careers and be really proud of the business they are part of. She was awarded CEO of the year in 2018 at the HR Network Awards Event and in 2021 was awarded the S1jobs Chairman’s award for her contribution to the recruitment sector in Scotland. She is passionate about her family, cycling and her commitment to various local charities.
