Sanjay Shetty is a human resource or ""Talent Specialist"" with more than 23 years of experience of hiring across all industries and levels and managing relationships with companies across India. He has had the opportunity to speak about the talent landscape in various national and international forums including debates on television with politicians and industry stalwarts apart from writing articles on a regular basis. He has grown up the ranks from being a recruiter 2 decades ago doing hiring entry level profiles to managing large recruitment teams and hiring CEOs across the country to currently advising companies on their talent strategies today. Over the past 2 decades he has witnessed and participated in the transformation of the industries and the talent landscape with it. Being a ""hands on"" talent specialist, knowing the pulse of the talent market, driving results consistently, creating and energising high performing teams, perceived as a thought leader & trusted advisor for clients & candidates, (especially new comers who need advice), helping company on VUCA challenge and representing India at global forums are his key traits. Sanjay joined a Mumbai based, 5 member recruitment agency in 1999 as a recruitment consultant doing junior level hiring, went on to set up the executive search practice, was made equity owner and Director Operations within 3 years and grew the company to 150 people with a pan India presence. This company was eventually acquired by Randstad in 2005 to set up its India business, where he created new recruitment industry verticals, created new teams like National Sales team for the temp staffing business, Global Key Accounts team and heading Sales and Key Clients Head for the company. Sanjay has been based out of the financial capital of India, Mumbai (his birthplace) for the past 23 years and is a proud ""Mumbaikar"". ""Building Companies by Managing Careers"" is his motto. Academically he has done his Masters in Personnel Management, MBA in Marketing and an Exec MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
